Youth Group (U/13+)

Mornington Life Saving Club holds a Youth Training Group each Friday Night from 5pm – 6.30pm at Mills Beach, from 4th November through to Easter. This group is designed for teenagers who are serious about keeping fit, want to improve their lifesaving skills or wish to compete at carnivals. A Social Youth Group is held from 6.30-7.30pm with a range of activities on offer, including movie nights and pizza nights. Social events are organised throughout the season, culminating in previous years with a camp at Phillip Island.

Our Youth program commenced in 2008 and has seen an increase in numbers each year. The Club purchased a 20 seater bus which has enabled us to take our Youth to LSV Carnivals at Surf and Bay beaches, as well as social events and training. Our Youth/Senior Competition teams have competed at the State Championships at Lakes Entrance achieving great results and last season our U17 girls and boys relay team competed at the National Titles on the Gold Coast.

Several of our Youth have been invited to participate in the Life Saving Victoria State Development Squad and Elite Development Training Squad.
