REGISTRATION FOR MEMBERSHIP AT MORNINGTON LIFE SAVING CLUB

Working with Children Check (WWC) - FREE TO VOLUNTEERS
All members over 18, without exception, require a WWC before membership can be accepted.
Lifesaving Victoria (LSV) and Mornington Lifesaving Club (MLSC), as a volunteer organisation, have a legal responsibility under the Working with Children Act 2005 to:

• Ensure that the appropriate people have undergone the WWC; and
• Ensure no volunteer with a negative notice undertakes child related work.

There are serious legal ramifications for LSV and MLSC if the Act is breached. Fines of up to $125,000 can be imposed on LSV and up to $25,000 or a 2 year prison term can be imposed on the club.

MLSC members, whose professions require a police check for employment purposes including teachers & police officers, must update their details to include MLSC as a volunteer organisation.

WWC forms can be obtained from your local Australia Post Office. This is a free service to volunteers. MLSC will receive a Certificate of WWC upon successful application. A copy or a receipt of application will NOT be accepted. This process, through the Dept of Justice, can take up to 6 weeks.

Membership Fees
Family Membership $190.00 – all adults/guardians must register with children under 14 years.
SRC/Bronze Medallion Members - $85.00 – individuals, not joining as a Family membership.
(SRCs must be 14yrs as of 1/10/2011 for single membership)
Carnival Levy - $10 per carnival for each participating Nipper.

The club has several payment options including cash, cheque and online credit card facility.

Membership of Mornington Lifesaving Club will be finalised upon completion of online registration, receipt of WWCC for all adults over the age of 18 years and payment.

Registration for NEW Members or Members not registered Online
To create an account go to:- www.lifesavingonline.com.au and select "Create Account" at the top of the page. Read the instructions for Families, if registering as a family.

• Select your situation: Are you now or have you ever been a member of a Surf Club or SLSA Organisation (eg Lifeguard, Academy Course)?
• Select "Apply to join a surf club"
• Select State "VIC"
• Branch: Select "Mornington District"
• Club/Organisation: Select "Mornington"
• Enter your personal details as requested - Submit
• You will receive an email with a link from no-reply@surfguard.slsa.asn.au
  Open this link and follow the prompts to complete your registration process.

This process must be completed for EACH individual in the family.
Only one payment per family is required. Payment can be made by credit card online at the end of one adult membership form - $190.00
ALL adult members/guardians in a family must be registered with nippers.

Registration for Existing Members
PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE RENEWING MEMBERSHIP

MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL ONLINE

1. Go to www.lifesavingonline.com.au
2. Select "Login" at the top of the page.
3. Enter your username and password. If you have forgotten these click on the link "Forgotten username or password" and you will be sent these details by your chosen method (SMS or Email).
4. Upon receipt of link from noreply@surfguard.asn.au with your username and password, complete the details required. (Check your Spam if the email does not come through).
5. ALL parents/guardians must be registered with family memberships.
6. Each member of a family MUST BE REGISTERED INDIVIDUALLY. Enter each member's details separately (e.g. if 4 members of a family, you must register 4 people).
7. Enter the Date of Birth of EACH member of the family, not the DOB of the person completing the registration process.
8. Update any details that may need to be changed.
9. Payment can be made by credit card online at the end of one adult membership form.
10. There are other payment options available on the Membership page.
    Family membership - $190.00. Single membership - $85.00 (must be 14 and over as of 1/10/2011 and holding a Bronze Medallion).
11. When paying by credit card please put in your family name. Submit payment and a receipt will be sent to your email address.
12. ONLY 1 adult member of the family is required to make a payment of $190.00 per family membership.
13. Individual Bronze Medallion membership $85.00.
14. Each family member must renew their membership individually.
